Where tradition and modernity go hand in hand: the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa looks back on 150 years of history – yet moves with the times. The historic 5-star hotel holds a top position in the Swiss luxury hotel industry. In Interlaken, at the feet of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, it began its history in 1856 as the Pension Victoria.

In 1899, a dome-topped central tract was added to link the Victoria with the Hotel Jungfrau: the birth of the Victoria-Jungfrau. Royal heads and intellectuals, artists and writers from around the world soon flocked to the Belle Epoque establishment. To this day, the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa embodies the charm of this era with its gilded mirrors, stucco and sparkling crystal. These provide a vibrant contrast with the modern interior design. The Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa opened in 1991 and has been setting standards in the international hospitality sector ever since. The luxury spa was expanded to include advanced treatments and better-aging programmes in 2002 and again in 2009. The modern meeting and banqueting rooms for the MICE sector are also pioneering.
