Premiered in 1912 and still going strong, this is the most popular open-air theatre spectacle of its kind in Switzerland. The drama by Friedrich Schiller of Switzerland’s legendary hero is performed (in German) in the picturesque natural setting of nearby Rugen Forest. The entire cast – from lead roles to extras – is made up of amateur actors.
